Description
The Tafseer Curriculum has 3 levels:
- The Foundation level: the meaning of the verses, basic Arabic grammar and Shaan-e-Nuzool for short Surahs.
- The Intermediate level: Rabt between Surahs, the Ahkaam of The Quran and their application in daily life.
- The Advanced level: Ilmul Balagah, Usul Tafseer, the role of Hadith and the Qiraat.
- Every level is taught 1-to-1, so the pace follows the student rather than a class.
Prerequisites
Requirements differ based on the age of the student and how much he/she already knows. For all levels, the student should be able to read from the Qurβan and follow the tutor in English, Arabic, Urdu, Hindi or Pushto.
Foundation Level Prerequisites: Open to children aged 7 and above and to adults beginning their Tafseer journey. No previous Tafseer study is required.
Intermediate Level Prerequisites:
Completion of Level 1, or an existing foundational understanding of The Quran and its basic vocabulary.
Advanced Level Prerequisites:
Suited to advanced learners and students of Islamic studies. To be eligible, a student should be comfortable with:
- Reading The Quran fluently with Tajweed.
- The meanings of common Quranic vocabulary.
- The material covered in the Intermediate level.

- Rabt b/t Surah (the connection between Surahs and verses).

- Application of Ahkaam in real-life situations.
- Exploring the reasons for revelation (Asbab-al-Nuzul) for specific verses.
- Developing a strong habit of revision (Murajaβah) to retain knowledge.

Advanced Summary β training will be on:
- Ilmul Balagah (rhetoric and eloquence of The Quran).
